Why we love this necklace

The subtle coloring and shape of this tourmaline are vastly uncommon. The deep and verdant green fades effortlessly into the most subtle shade of pink. I wanted to add movement and draw the eye downward so as not to miss the beautiful color change, so I've studded a golden dewdrop with two rose-pink sapphires. The stone is truly unique and not to be missed!

Strung on a unique 15.5" chain, it rests just above the collarbones. Want this chain in a different length? We will tailor this item to your specifications. Reach out to bespoke@jenniferhillyer.com

About Tourmaline

  • Tourmaline is a gem that can be found all over the world, and comes is every shade of the rainbow. Much of the world's tourmaline is found in Brazil, Afghanistan, and even Maine and California in the US.
  • Copper-containing aqua-blue Paraiba varieties have recently been discovered in Nigeria, Mozambique, and Tanzania.
  • Certain varieties of tourmaline are magnetic due to their iron and manganese content. In fact, a Paraiba (light aqua blue) tourmaline, which is colored by copper, can be differentiated this way from it's darker blue sibling Indicolite, which is colored by iron.
